Yoga unites the mind, body, and breath
Practicing yoga teaches us to dive deeper into the world of mindfulness, pranayama (breath), and asana (the poses/body movement). It guides us to connect to our breath, listen to our bodies, and trust our intuition . Yoga gives us the opportunity to turn our focus inward, improve our body awareness, and take what we learn on our mat and integrate it into our daily life.
Yoga not only improves our physical health by increasing our strength and flexibility through guided breath, but it also helps us create a practice of inner awareness. Stepping onto our mats gives us the opportunity to connect to the present moment, acknowledging any stress we may be feeling, and be able to use this practice of movement meditation to release that tension, both physically and mentally.
